Relive your recess glory days! Kickball, one of our most popular and social sports, is played throughout the city of Boston including Cambridge, Downtown, Southie, and more. Cultivate new friendships, meet you next significant other or use it as a reason to get your crew together each week! Kickball leagues

Volo sports leagues operate a lot like the sports leagues of your youth. Most of our leagues are 5 to 8 weeks and culminate in a series of playoff games to crown a champion! A team t-shirt is always included with registration and you will receive it at your first game. Volo provides specially trained staff members, referees, equipment, and prizes for your game. We strive to keep the games fair, safe, and stress free so that all you need to do is show up, play, socialize, and have a great time!

Styles of Play

Indoor
We may be lacking grass, but these leagues certainly aren’t skimping on the fun and incredibly social atmosphere. With a maximum of 9 players on the field, one must be a catcher and games last 7 innings, unless we reach the 40 minute mark first when both teams will be warned that we’ll start the last inning. Each gym has its own unique set of "house rules" for out of bounds.
Traditional
Traditional leagues consist of 7 innings or 45-minute games, whichever comes first. With a maximum of 11 players on the field, including catcher, remember that you’ll need at least 6 players to complete. "Pegging" is allowed from the shoulders down. There is no "fast pitch/roll" or bunting allowed.
Glow
We gave kickball the ultimate glow-up. There are no limits to our commitment to making the game happen. When the sun sets, glow kickball begins with a full set of glow sticks, light up ball and more. Glow kickball is usually only offered in the fall at Danehy Park in Cambridge. Glow kickball is played 11v11.

Cassidy Playground

Cassidy Playground is newly renovated and provides fun and social kickball leagues. Conveniently located in Cleveland Circle so it's T accessible (Green Line) and is perfect for Allston, Brighton and surrounding area residents. Cassidy Playground has a parking lot as well as free parking along Beacon St.

Morrison Park

With its huge outfield we are able to play two games at the same time creating a buzzing atmosphere and increasing the likelihood that you make new friends! Morrison Park has plenty of free parking along the field for players.

Boston Common

139 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02108, USA

Do your friends live all over the city? Boston Common is the perfect location to play as it's centrally located in the city and is T accessible by all 4 lines. This is a metal bat league so see if you can become a Volo legend and hit it out of one of the biggest parks we play on with fences. Come play on one of the most sough after fields we have! Leagues historically play here Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings from the spring through the fall.

Gore Park

Gore Park kickball is home to our biggest and most popular Thursday night kickball league! However, if Thursdays don't work for you check out one of the Sunday leagues. Enjoy easy parking in the huge lot behind home plate. Gore Park is one of our more social leagues with a lot of repeat teams every season.

Moakley Park

1005 Columbia Rd, Boston, MA 02127, USA

Moakley Park is the hub of Volo kickball! Up to four field playing simultaneously plus other sports playing nearby create an amazing and fun atmosphere to play kickball. Leagues are played Tuesday - Thursday. After your game head to your sponsor bar to enjoy player only specials There is tons of free parking options and the field is easily accessible via Red Line.

Ebersol Field

Embankment Rd, Boston, MA 02114, USA

Located right on the Charles and a short walk from the Red Line, Ebersol Field is one of the most sought after parks in Boston! With beautiful scenery and well manicured fields this is one league you don't want to miss out on. After your game walk to one of several nearby bars for a beer with teammates and new friends. Kickball leagues at Ebersol have small team capacities and often sell out in the early bird stage of registration so don't put off signing up for these leagues!

Ryan Playground

Come play at one of our historical fields in Dorchester. T accessible with street parking, make a statement with an infield kickball home run.

Danehy Park

Danehy Field in Cambridge is the setting for our most popular Wednesday night kickball league. There is a large parking lot for all players, and bathrooms (porta potties) are available. Multiple sports usually play at the same time, creating a fun and social atmosphere. This is a huge complex with both turf and grass fields. Kickball games are almost always played in the grass.

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is one of the nicest fields in Somerville. Enjoy kickball on this perfectly manicured grass field and don't forget to bring your favorite four legged friend so they can meet new friends at the dog park in center field!

Back Bay Fens

Back Bay Fens is one of the nicest turfs in the city and home to some of our most popular kickball leagues. Easily accessible by T (Green Line) this league is perfect for players without transportation.
