Your Questions, Answered

Yes! For 6v6, each team can have a maximum of 4 males on the court. The minimum required players are 3 total players with at least one being female or non-binary. For 4v4, there are 3 males maximum on the court, with 2 minimum to play starting with at least 1 female or non-binary player.
For 4v4 leagues, the minimum is 7 players. The minimum number for a 6v6 volleyball team is 9 players. If you do not reach team status fear not, we will merge you with other groups to hit the minimum. Merged teams are generally larger to protect against forfeits. Want a larger or smaller team? You can register as a prepaid team to have as many or as few players on your roster.
Tons of fun! On game night we recommend that you’ll want to arrive 10-15 minutes before your game to meet your teammates and get ready to play. Games play to best of 3 SETS. Scoring consists of 21-21-15. After your game ends head to our sponsor bar for drink specials and get to know your fellow volleyball players! All skill levels are welcome, but we do offer competitive leagues.
Volo is a social sports company! While we do offer some competitive leagues (these are typically noted as competitive in their title) most of our leagues are social leagues. Dependent on league size we may offer a competitive and recreational division. Some are labeled as slightly more competitive, while the recreational division is more social. Check each league for further details.
A premiere, FUN experience! Plan to arrive at the court 10-15 minutes before game time to meet up with your teammates and get ready to play in your Volo volleyball league. Make sure you pencil us in for at least 45-minutes or best of three games, whichever comes first.
Yes, players not registered with your team can join as a drop-in. Captains can open a drop-in spot for them for all regular season games. Players not on the roster cannot play during playoffs.
No, we provide team shirts, balls, nets, and the playing area. Just bring a good attitude and some water to have a good time!
We offer 6v6, 4v4 and 2v2 leagues. The courts available are indoor courts, grass courts, and sand courts.
