Sports Make People Better
Sports level the playing field. They unveil our determination, perseverance, and heart — pushing us to our limits and compelling us to be our best.
But we can't play alone. Sports surround us with teammates, captains, and coaches, teaching us teamwork, compassion, and genuine sportsmanship.
That's why we believe sports make better humans. Volo's mission is to create the opportunity for a fulfilled life through genuine communities and access to activity.
We live this mission through the Volo Kids Foundation, founded in 2015 to provide free youth sports programming to kids who would otherwise lack access to play.
Today the foundation operates across multiple cities, using sport to build communities of active, resilient, and confident kids.
The relationship between Volo and the Foundation creates a virtuous cycle: as more adults sign up to play, we fund more youth programs. Volunteers with the foundation play free in adult leagues — each organization strengthening the other.

Baltimore Social
It all started in Baltimore with bocce. We built a high-quality league with an excellent social experience that we've since replicated across the country.
Play Mile High
Our Denver leagues grew to over 60,000 players. Denver's open container culture inspired Cup-In-Hand kickball — a party disguised as a game.
Play Big Apple
New Yorkers don't have a lot of outdoor space, but they have great bars and a love of skeeball. Our NYC team invented the fun skeeball rules still played today.
SF Social
San Francisco started with bocce and evolved to include sailing leagues on the bay. An experience you won't find anywhere else.
NYC Social
We acquired NYC Social to deepen our presence in the city. Their energy and New York attitude meshed perfectly with our play-hard mentality.
Social Boston Sports
Expanding up the Northeast coast, we brought in Social Boston Sports: home to one of the best beach volleyball experiences in the country at Carson Beach.
Rivall Technology
To own the full experience before, during, and after play, we acquired the Rivall platform -- powering registration, scheduling, and everything in between.
VAVi Sport & Social
San Diego's VAVi brought us the city's best sports leagues and serious expertise in high-impact events and activations.
Zog Sports
Volo acquires Zog Sports, creating the nation's largest and most popular recreational sports network.
