Bocce is a super easy lawn game where you toss balls and try to get them as close as possible to a smaller target ball called the pallino - that's it! No athletic ability required. No running. No learning curve. Just vibes. It's the kind of game where you can learn it in 2 minutes and play with a drink in your hand, making it perfect for meeting new people or just getting off the couch!
Not at all. You can understand the basic rules in just a few minutes and be playing confidently by the end of your first game.
Yes. Bocce is competitive enough to keep things interesting but social enough that you'll spend just as much time laughing and chatting as you will keeping score.
Yes! Register as a Free Agent and we'll place you on a team. Many people sign up solo - it's one of the easiest ways to meet new people in Charleston!
Sign up as a Small Group. We'll keep your crew together and combine you with other small groups and/or free agents as needed!
Perfect - you have two options! Sign up as a prepaid team, and the captain will cover the cost of the team, or sign up as a group and share out your group link to your friends and teammates. If you sign up as a group, you must have at least 5 people on your roster to be considered a full team.
Our Charleston bocce leagues are typically 8 weeks long, with at least 6 weeks of regular season games, and up to two weeks of playoffs. Each league will have the exact amount of weeks listed on the registration page for the program.
