The Gist
Welcome to Volo pickup pickleball at Barnes Tennis Center! Our pickups are open to all genders and are catered towards intermediate and higher skilled players. Pickup is limited to registered players only.
If you are familiar with DUPR ratings you should be at a 3.0 or higher. At a minimum you should:
Hit forehands and backhands with consistency
Have the ability to hit dink shots
Understand basic game strategy
Feel free to arrive anytime within the playing window, but the sooner you arrive, the more playing time you get!

All equipment is provided by Volo!
6 players assigned per net
2v2 - Open Play
Teams will play two games then rotate off. The team that loses the first game will move off the court.
You rotate off after two games even if you win both games
Games are to 11 or 15 mins whichever comes first
Win by 2 if time allows
Score starts 0-0-2 (last number indicates server)
The serving team can not hit the ball out of the air on the return of serve
Arrive early to check-in with your host. We want to start on time to give you as much playing time as possible!

Cancelations/Refunds
Should inclement weather affect the game, players will be notified on whether the program will run at least 90 minutes prior to the start of the program via email. If games are canceled due to low numbers or inclement weather players will be offered a refund.
