What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
- Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.

Join our coed volleyball leagues at JFK Fields to enjoy grass volleyball on the National Mall! Expect a mix of fun, social, beginner-friendly games with competitive moments sprinkled in!
Grass Volleyball (6v6)
- 9 players make a complete team
- 6 players max on the court at a time (4 men max)
- Games will be played with rally scoring
- Best of 3 (21-21-15)
- No gender rule for hits per side
Policies
*Depending on the number of teams it's possible for teams to have byes or doubleheaders. It's also possible that the league is shortened by a week or extended by a week.
Playoffs: Top 4 teams are guaranteed to make the playoffs. We will accommodate more teams if possible! Teams with two or more forfeits will be ineligible for playoffs. No subs or drop-ins are allowed in the playoffs.
Weather Policy: Guaranteed 2 makeup games at the same location but not guaranteed to be played on the same day of the week.
Court Location: The National Mall is big, and availability varies based on what is happening in the city. Exact field locations may be subject to change, and we cannot guarantee you will be on the same plot week-to-week.
