What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.

Meet new people, stay active, have fun, and enjoy exclusive post-game bar specials with your teammates while you play a flip-cup game that counts in your VOLO Sports league standings!

COED CUP-IN-HAND KICKBALL + FLIP CUP LEAGUE DETAILS
- Full Team Roster Minimum: 17 players**
- 11v11 (including catcher)
- Minimum 6 players to start a game
- One 6-inning or 45-minute game each night (whichever comes first)
- 5 run limit per inning (except for the last inning - capped at 10 in regular season)
- Scoring Format: Teams will be awarded 2 points for winning the kickball game and 1 point for winning the flip-cup match after - Flip-Cup counts in league standings!
Playoffs:
- Playoffs will feature a bracket with the Top 4 Teams over 2 weeks AND a Bowl Style Playoff for the remaining teams (I.e. seed 5 v seed 6).
- If there are >2 rainouts, playoffs will be completely bowl style (I.e. seed 1v2, seed 3v4 , seed 5v6. etc.) due to DPR fields shutting down at the beginning of November & sunlight on non-lit fields.

**Registered Groups who are not pre-paid teams and do not meet the minimum roster requirement by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster to meet the minimum roster requirement.
🌦WEATHER & MAKEUP POLICY
If Denver kickball games are postponed due to weather, facility closures, or other unforeseen circumstances, Volo Sports guarantees 2 makeup games. Priority will be to make up games at the end of the season or as double headers, however, makeups may not occur at the same location, day of the week, or time.
📋DENVER KICKBALL GENERAL POLICIES
- #1 Rule: BE KIND
- Scheduling: The Fall Season will feature 4 Regular Season games plus Playoffs. All teams will have a guaranteed 5th game scheduled post regular season, either a bowl game or inclusion in a playoff bracket. Depending on the number of teams, it’s possible for teams to have byes or doubleheaders.Teams may have double-headers or bye weeks depending on number of teams or cancellations due to weather or venue limitations. If you have specific schedule requests, these must be made prior to the registration deadline by emailing [email protected] or included in your registration notes. Schedule accommodations are not guaranteed. If 2+ rainouts occur, makeup games may be played on a different day of the week and/or at a different location
- Playoffs: Pending field availability and weather throughout the season, playoffs will operate in one of the following ways:
- Playoffs will feature a bracket with the Top 4 Teams over 2 weeks AND a Bowl Style Playoff for the remaining teams (I.e. seed 5 vs seed 6, seed 7 vs seed 8).
- If there are >2 rainouts, playoffs will be completely bowl style (I.e. seed 1v2, seed 3v4 , seed 5v6. etc.) due to DPR fields shutting down at the beginning of November & sunlight on non-lit fields.
- Forfeits: Denver teams that forfeit 2 or more times throughout the season may not be eligible for playoffs. If your team has low RSVPs, please have your captain open Drop-In Spots (all player substitutes MUST be registered as drop-ins) OR email [email protected] letting us know you are forfeiting at least 3 hours prior to game time.
- T-Shirts: If you registered before the deadline, you will receive your shirt Week One of the league. Please make sure your profile reflects the correct shirt size. If you do not receive a shirt week one, please fill out the missing t-shirt link that will be sent out in the Welcome Email.
- Alcohol: Outside alcohol is NOT permitted at any sponsor bar, turf field, or venue on School or Church property. Glass containers are NOT permitted at ANY Volo League Location. Violators may be permanently banned from the Sponsor Bars or Volo leagues. Any player who is expelled from a league is not eligible for a refund or Volo credit.
