What’s a drop-in?

Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.

Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.

🏓🥒 Outdoor Pickleball League Overview (Intermediate/Recreational Divisions)


Team and Game Requirements: 

  • Minimum players for a full team: 3 (no gender requirements)
  • Groups of 2 players may have free agents or small groups added as needed
  • Pre-paid teams must have a 2 player minimum
  • Standard Scoring: Points can only be scored by the serving team
  • Matches are games to 11, 11, 11, 11, 7 (no win by 2)
  • 60 minute games (best out of 5)

🌦 Weather & Makeup Policy 


  •  If Baltimore Pickleball games are postponed due to weather, facility closures, or other unforeseen circumstances, Volo Sports guarantees 2 makeup games. 
  • Priority will be to make up games at the end of the season or a double headers 


⚙️ League Policies & Disclaimers

Scheduling

  • Depending on the number of teams, schedules may include byes or doubleheaders.
  • All teams are guaranteed 6 regular season games.

Playoffs

  • The top 50% of teams are guaranteed a playoff spot.
  • Additional teams may be added if schedule and venue space allow.
  • Substitute players cannot be added after Week 6.
