What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
- Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.
About this league
This description is for full-season players. Certain perks, like team t-shirts, don’t apply to drop-ins.
There’s no better way to start your weekend than with Volo Softball! Join us at McCarren Park.
No need to carry Bases & Balls to the field or bring cash for umpires as we provide all equipment and have no ump fees.
League Schedule 📅
6 Games + Playoffs (minimum top half of standings will qualify for playoffs)
Teams are subject to games in all time slots
The league may have BYE weeks - games may not be consecutive weekly.
Two or more forfeits a season teams lose eligibility for playoffs
Games will be played on Rosh Hashanah
Gameplay & Rosters 👭 🥎
10v10 Coed (max. 7 men on the field at once)
6 Inning Games or 45 minutes
A full team consists of 15+ players (at least 4 women or non-binary players), we suggest 18-22 players - No players will be added to teams with 15+ players signed up with all roster requirements met.
Teams will need a minimum of 6 players to start with at least 1 woman/non-binary player!
If only 1 female or non-binary player is present, an out is recorded every time the female or non-binary player should rotate in to bat (You must have at least 3 females or non-binary players in your batting line up to avoid this penalty)
Players must bring their own gloves, they will not be provided

Sold-out leagues are subject to an adjusted roster fill-in deadline and/or registration close date
Weather Cancellations & Postponements ⛈
All leagues, days, times, and locations are subject to change at any point in the season.
In the event of unforeseen conflicts with the venue or inclement weather, games may be rescheduled to an alternate day or location.
