What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
- Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.

Beach Volleyball (2v2) - Challenger Format
- Roster minimum is 3 players
- 2 players max on the court, 1 man max
- Minimum 2 players to start, at least 1 woman
- Games will be played with rally scoring, one set to 25 (not win by 2)
- Teams play as many games as they can in the 2 hour time frame
- Teams track the amount of games they win each day and are awarded 1 point for each win (have to report score to the host)
- Last set of games can be started with 10 minutes left in the time period (ex: 3-5pm time slot = 4:50pm last game)
Competitive Challenger Rules - A/BB/B
- No gender rule for hits per side
- Everything is self-reffed
- Any contact with the net is a loss of a point
- No carries: no hits with an open palm in an upward direction
- The line is IN bounds
- Jump serves are allowed
Skill Levels
A - Advanced/Competitive
BB - Advanced/Intermediate
B - Intermediate
C Beginner/Recreational
Policies
*Depending on the number of teams it's possible for teams to have byes or doubleheaders. It's also possible that the league is shortened by a week or extended by a week.
Playoffs: Top 4 teams are guaranteed to make the playoffs. We will accommodate more teams if possible! Teams with two or more forfeits will be ineligible for playoffs. No subs or drop-ins are allowed in the playoffs.
Weather Policy: Guaranteed 2 makeup games at the same location but not guaranteed to be played on the same day of the week.
