What’s a drop-in?

Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.

Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.

Volleyball (4v4)

  • Each match is 60 minutes long

  • 4 players max on the court at a time (3 men max for coed leagues only)

  • 3 players minimum to start an official game (including 1 woman for coed leagues only)

  • 7 players are the minimum for a complete team

  • Games will be played with rally scoring, best of 3 (21-21-21) No win by 2

  • Guaranteed 6 Regular season games, and top half of the league will qualify for playoffs

  • No gender rule for hits per side

  • Games at Sports Page will have a ref


Sponsor Bar Deal: Purchase a bucket of Michelob Ultra and get 1 extra beer



Playoffs: We will accommodate as many teams as possible in the playoffs, but only the TOP 4 teams are guaranteed advancement.


Weather Policy: Cancelled games due to bad weather will not be made up or will potentially be moved indoors into a gymnasium.


Schedule: Depending on the number of teams it’s possible for teams to have byes or doubleheaders. It’s also possible that the league is shortened or extended by a week. All teams are guaranteed 5 regular season games.


Alcohol Policy: Players are prohibited from bringing any outside alcohol to any sponsor bars/ location and is not allowed at the field.


*Registered Groups who are not pre-paid teams and do not meet the minimum roster requirement by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster to meet the roster requirement.


Shirts: 

Volo SJ is piloting a new shirt distribution process for our leagues to make Week 1 smoother. Prepaid teams must have all players registered and added to their roster by September 3rd. This ensures required waivers are completed and helps us prepare the most accurate shirt count and size mix for each team. Players added after the deadline will still receive a shirt, but available sizes, styles, and colors may vary.
