What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.

Sunday Funday! Spend it with Volo and play softball at Boston Common / Ebersol Field! Teams play once a week at either Boston Common or Ebersol. The full schedule will be released prior to the season so teams know where they're playing each week. This is our most popular Sunday softball league 🥎

Gameplay & Rosters 👫🥎
Volo Softball (10v10 Coed)
Team Roster Minimum: 14 (Minimum of 4 men and women and/or non-binary)
Registered Groups who do not meet the minimum roster requirements by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster
10 players max on the field (Minimum of 3 men & 3 women/non-binary)
Non binary players may account for either genders' minimum. Example: A team has 4 men on the court with a non binary player.
Minimum to Play an Official Game: 7 (including at least 1 man and woman and/or non-binary)
7 innings or 60 minutes, whichever comes first
Gloves are not provided - please bring your own!
All metal bats must adhere to the 4-part rule below:
They must have a visible ASA certified sticker.
They must not be double walled.
They must not be made of composite materials.
The handle can not be ZnX alloy.
One of the many bats banned from our leagues is the Demarini Steel. Feel free to contact us via email if you want to confirm your bat is legal before purchasing.

Policies/Disclaimers 📝
Schedule: Depending on the number of teams it's possible for teams to have byes/ doubleheaders. The league may be shortened or extended by a week. All teams are guaranteed 6 scheduled regular season games.
Playoffs: In most leagues not all teams will qualify for the playoffs. We will always take as many teams as we can accommodate for a one night playoff, unless your league is a multi-night league.
Weather Policy: You are guaranteed 1 makeup game at the same location, but games are not guaranteed to be played on the same day of week. In the event of inclement weather, games are subject to postponement/playing in the outfield grass due to poor field conditions because (insert field name) is a natural playing surface. Any postponements will be sent out to players via email.
