What’s a drop-in?
Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.
- Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
- Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
- Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
- Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.
About this league
This description is for full-season players. Certain perks, like team t-shirts, don’t apply to drop-ins.
The National Mall is the place to be on Sundays this Fall for Kickball +Flip Cup! Crush it on the turf, then dominate the Flip Cup table at Whitlow's on the Wharf! It all counts toward your team’s standings, so bring the energy and rep your squad from the field to the bar.
Captains can play for free once they get a full roster signed up before Early Bird ends! We'll pay Captains back in credit if they reach the roster minimum of 16 players.
Traditional Kickball (11v11 Coed)
- #1 Rule: Be Kind!
- 11v11 (maximum of 6 men on the field)
- 6 minimum to play (must include 2 women)
- 5 run limit in all but the last inning
- Games will be 6 innings or 45 minutes, whichever comes first
- Kickball wins are 2 points, Flip Cup is 1 point
INCLUDES EXCLUSIVE END OF SEASON PLAYER PARTY!

*Depending on the number of teams it's possible for teams to have byes or doubleheaders. It's also possible that the league is shortened by a week or extended by a week.
Playoffs: Top 4 teams are guaranteed to make the playoffs. We will accommodate more teams if possible! Teams with two or more forfeits will be ineligible for playoffs. No subs or drop-ins are allowed in the playoffs.
Weather Policy: Guaranteed 2 makeup games at the same location but not guaranteed to be played on the same day of the week.
Field Location: The National Mall is big, and availability varies based on what is happening in the city. Exact field locations may be subject to change, and we cannot guarantee you will be on the same plot week-to-week.
