What’s a drop-in?

Drop-ins play on a league team for a single game. All the fun, no season-long commitment.

Playing time: Plan on about half the game, though it can vary.
Bring a friend: Want to play together? Find a team with more than one spot open.
Know the level: Only drop-in if you're comfortable with the league's competition level.
Pro tips: Arrive early and download the Volo mobile app to chat with your team.

Fall is here and that means it's time to hit the field like the pros! We'll be scheduling Sunday morning games so you are wrapped and ready to cheer on your teams at the bar after the game!  This field is conveniently located in Fenway, walking distance from multiple T stops/lines and has street parking. 


League Schedule + What’s Included 📅

  • 6 Regular Season Games + Playoffs for top teams

  • Refs

    • No on site referee fees! 

  • Team Shirts for each individual player

  • Team prize + bragging rights for the champs!

  • Teams may have byes and/or doubleheaders

  • Teams subject to games in all time slots

    • If captains of full teams have requests on specific weeks they can include the request when registering. 

    • We can not accommodate schedule requests once the schedule has been released to players

Gameplay & Rosters 👫🏈

Volo Flag Football (7v7 Coed)

  • Minimum for a full team is 13 players (minimum of 3 men and 3 women/non-binary to be complete)

    • Registered Groups who do not meet the minimum roster requirement by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster

  • 7 players max on the field (need at least 2 men and 2 women/non-binary)

  • Minimum to start an official game: 4 (at least one woman/non-binary) 

  • Two-22 minute halves, running clock 

  • All players are eligible receivers 

  • No blocking

Schedule: Depending on the number of teams it's possible for teams to have byes/ doubleheaders. The league may be shortened or extended by a week. All teams are guaranteed 6 scheduled regular season games.


Rosters: Registered Groups who do not meet the minimum roster requirement by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster to meet the roster requirement.


Playoffs: In most leagues not all teams will qualify for the playoffs. We will always take as many teams as we can accommodate for a one night playoff, unless your league is a multi-night league.
