LEAGUE DETAILS
Full Team Roster Minimum: 9 players
Minimum 3 players to start a game, including 1 woman
No more than 4 men on the court
1 Game Per Night
Scoring Format: Best out of 3 (25-25-15), NO win by 2 (45 Minutes)
Regular Season: 5 games guaranteed
Bye Weeks / Doubleheaders: May occur depending on registration
Make-up Games: Guaranteed 2 due to weather or venue changes
Playoffs: Top 8 teams guaranteed to qualify (additional teams will be added if space permits)
Games will be self-refereed
**Registered Groups who are not pre-paid teams and do not meet the minimum roster requirement by the registration deadline may be merged with other small groups, or have free agents added to their roster to meet the minimum roster requirement.
Skill Levels
Games are self-refereed to competition level rules listed below. Leagues are not guaranteed to be split into divisions.
A - Advanced/Competitive
BB - Upper Intermediate
B - Intermediate
C - Beginner/Recreational
Recreational (C) /Intermediate (B) League - leagues not guaranteed to be split into divisions
Minimal net contact or slight carries are allowed. However, blatant net contact or carries should be called
No Jump Serves
Recreational ---> C
Early in learning but knows basic skills.
Can bump, set a bit, and spike.
Needs more practice for consistency.
Passes are often off-target.
Ideal stage for building fundamentals.
Intermediate ---> B
About 70% of passes reach the target.
Likely played high school volleyball.
Understands lifts/doubles and basic rules.
Familiar with rotations, 5-1/6-2 systems, and defensive roles but still refining them.
Knows hitting footwork and approach mechanics.
Generally consistent, accurate hits without strong power or precision.
Serves (overhand or underhand) are consistent and can target zones
Blockers/hitters know approach mechanics but may mistime execution.
