Volo Sports volleyball leagues in Los Angeles include weekly games, official referees, team standings, and playoffs for qualifying teams. Players can join coed or open formats across indoor, grass, and beach leagues, including iconic locations like Santa Monica Beach. Every league is designed for all skill levels, from beginner to competitive, with a strong focus on fun, social play, and community.
Volo Sports offers a variety of volleyball league formats in Los Angeles, including 4v4, 6v6, women’s leagues, and corporate leagues. Each format is designed to fit different group sizes and play styles, from fast-paced small-sided games to more traditional full-team competition, all in a fun, social environment.
For beginners, Volo Sports' 6v6 beach volleyball leagues are the best place to start. They’re super social, beginner-friendly, and a great way to learn the game in a relaxed, fun environment while still getting consistent play and meeting new people.
Co-ed volleyball teams can have a maximum of 4 players on the court, with no more than 3 men at a time. A minimum of 2 players is required to start and avoid a forfeit, and at least 1 woman must be on the court. There are no gender-based restrictions on the number of hits per side during play.
The roster minimum for 4v4 volleyball leagues in LA is 6 players. If your team does not meet the roster minimum of 6 players by the registration deadline OR meets the roster minimum after the registration deadline, you will be subject to having free agents added to your roster. However, this does not guarantee that free agents will be added.
The roster minimum for 6v6 volleyball leagues in LA is 9 players. If your team does not meet the roster minimum of 9 players by the registration deadline OR meets the roster minimum after the registration deadline, you will be subject to having free agents added to your roster. However, this does not guarantee that free agents will be added.
Registering as a prepaid team eliminates the chance of your team having any free agents or small groups added to your roster. It also allows the flexibility to add players to your team after the registration deadline but before the start of the league. To add players after the registration has closed, please email [email protected] and ensure that all players you are looking to add have created Volo accounts.
The top 4 teams are guaranteed to make the playoffs. Playoffs will be a single elimination tournament played all in one night. If we have the capacity to take more teams, we will.
