Your Questions, Answered
Volo San Diego offers multiple skill levels ranging from beginner/social to intermediate to competitive. If you have never played volleyball, Volo recommends starting in a beginner/social league. If you have a decent amount of playing experience and are looking to improve your skills, Volo recommends our intermediate level leagues. Volo's competitive leagues are for players that have a complete understanding of volleyball rules and rotations and are seeking the highest level of play.
When signing up as a free agent or small group (that does not estimate reaching the roster minimum), the sport coordinator will manually assign you to a team based on team needs and matching interests/skill levels.
Registering as a prepaid team eliminates the chance of your team having any free agents or small groups added to your roster. It also allows the flexibility to add players to your team after the registration deadline but before the start of the league.
For 2v2 and 4v4 volleyball, only the server must change after each side out. In 6v6, we rotate. For 6v6, all players must rotate.
No- Volo will provide all equipment.
