Your Questions, Answered
Volo Sports requires a roster minimum of 4 players for pickleball. This is to protect against forfeits and ensure a social experience. If you and your crew don’t have a full roster, we’ll merge you with another small group. If you’d like to make sure you have a larger or smaller team, you can register as a Volo prepaid team which allows you to determine the number of players on your team.
Volo Sports provides all equipment on site. However, if you have a personal paddle you prefer to use, that is allowed.
Yes. Volo Sports offers beginner-friendly pickleball leagues in San Jose. League hosts explain the rules during the first week, and beginner divisions are designed for new players.
One player can create a team or small group during registration and share the team link with friends. Everyone who registers through that link will be placed on the same Volo Sports pickleball team.
Yes. Volo Sports allows substitute players during the regular season through the drop-in feature in the Volo app. Drop-in players are not permitted during playoffs.
Volo Sports players can communicate with teammates through the team chat feature in the Volo app.
Teams can use the Volo Sports drop-in feature to add substitute players during the regular season. Captains can also create women-only drop-in spots when needed for coed leagues.
