San Diego is the kind of city you move to and assume the social life takes care of itself. Beach days, breweries, perfect weather year-round. But somehow Sunday night still rolls around and your group chat is quiet. Volo fixes that. A standing weeknight league, a real team, and post-game hangs at the kind of SD spots you actually want to be at. Leagues run in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, North Park, Hillcrest, Little Italy, and East Village. No pretense, no scene, just your sport, your people, your night.

Volo San Diego FAQ
Your Questions, Answered
We run leagues across San Diego in sand volleyball, soccer, kickball, softball, pickleball, flag football, basketball, dodgeball, and cornhole. Tournaments, drop-in nights, and one-day events run year-round.
Our leagues run across the city's most active neighborhoods, including Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, North Park, Hillcrest, Little Italy, and East Village. Specific venues are confirmed when you register.
Sign up solo, with a friend, or as a full team. A lot of our SD players sign up individually and get placed on teams with other free agents. It's one of the easiest ways to meet people in the city.
Most leagues offer multiple skill levels ranging from beginner/social to competitive. Recreational and social leagues are designed for players of all abilities who want to have fun, while competitive leagues are for experienced players looking for a higher level of play.
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons people sign up. SD is full of transplants who came for the lifestyle and are looking to build a real weekly crew. Volo gives you a built-in hangout, post-game meetups at neighborhood spots, and season-long social events that go beyond the typical bar scene.
Most San Diego leagues run between $90 and $150 per player depending on sport, format, and season length. Drop-in pickleball and cornhole nights start lower. One upfront cost, no recurring fees.
A standard season runs 6 to 8 weeks, including a playoff or tournament at the end. Games are 45 minutes to one hour, mostly weekday evenings with some weekend leagues.
Huge. Sand volleyball is one of our biggest SD leagues. Beachside courts, sunset start times, and post-game drinks built into the night. It's one of the most popular ways new members start with Volo here.
Not at all. Our leagues are recreational and built for adults who want to have fun, not relive their varsity years. Beginners are genuinely welcome. When you sign up, flag your skill level so we place you in the right division.
Yes. SD weather makes year-round outdoor play the standard, so seasons run continuously across most sports. Indoor options are available for volleyball, basketball, and pickleball when you want them.
The Volo Kids Foundation is at the heart of everything Volo does. A portion of every registration goes toward funding free youth sports programs for kids in San Diego. When you play with Volo, you help kids play free.
