San Diego Adult Volleyball Leagues

Volo San Diego offers multiple skill levels ranging from beginner/social to intermediate to competitive. If you have never played volleyball, Volo recommends starting in a beginner/social league. If you have a decent amount of playing experience and are looking to improve your skills, Volo recommends our intermediate level leagues. Volo's competitive leagues are for players that have a complete understanding of volleyball rules and rotations and are seeking the highest level of play.

In Volo San Diego Volleyball, if you sign up as a free agent or as a small group that does not meet the minimum roster size, the sport coordinator will manually assign you to a team. Assignments are made based on team needs, player availability, and matching interests and skill levels to help create a fun and balanced league experience.

Registering as a prepaid team eliminates the chance of your team having any free agents or small groups added to your roster. It also allows the flexibility to add players to your team after the registration deadline but before the start of the league.

In Volo Sports Volleyball, rotation depends on the league format. In 2v2 and 4v4 leagues, only the server changes after each side out—players do not rotate positions. In 6v6 Volo Sports Volleyball, all players rotate after winning the right to serve, following standard volleyball rotation rules. This ensures every player has the opportunity to play each position throughout the match.
