Your Questions, Answered
League info will be sent via email a minimum of 48 hours prior to the first game. When you get the league info email you will be able to login to your app and see all important details including your team name, teammates, and schedule.
One of you should register as captain of a new group. Once the captain has completed registration they will get a team link. The captain should send the team link to all players so they register directly to the correct team.
You need one woman on the court at all times. If none of the women on your team can make the game try looking for a sub in our Facebook SBS Basketball page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/sbsbasketball)! The earlier you post the better chance you have at getting someone to play. Please note, out of an abundance of caution there will be no subs allowed to play during the 2021 season, rostered players only. If Facebook doesn't work you can always show up to the court and try to get a woman from the previous game to stick around and help out.
The only way to guarantee you don't have any free agents and/or small groups added to your roster is to hit the team minimum. See team minimums below. If you're not going to reach the team minimum and don't want any additional players added you can register as a prepaid team. A prepaid team allows you to have as big or small of team as you want by paying a fixed cost. Team minimums (please note both team size and gender requirements must be met to be considered complete): Coed 5v5 - 8 players with at least 2 males/females Coed 4v4 - 7 players with at least 2 males/females Men's 5v5 - 8 players Men's 4v4 - 7 players Premier Basketball - 8 players
Games are 22 mins with the clock not stopping in the first half. The clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the second half of the game is within 10 points.
For our non premier leagues the competition can be described as your average pick up run at the park. Are there some players and teams a little better than the rest? Of course. However, in general everyone is your average player. Premier leagues are split into three divisions. You can see the breakdown of each competition level by scrolling up!
