Your Questions, Answered
While many Volo NYC leagues have gender requirements, there are no gender requirements for Volo NYC skeeball leagues. Each team must have a minimum of 3 rollers per game, for both traditional and match play.
Registration fees for Volo NYC leagues are dependent on location and day of the week, so be sure to check the league details carefully. After you sign up, everything else is taken care of for you. Your registration includes a league shirt, referees, venue costs, insurance, equipment, prizes, league management and so much more! Don’t forget, when you sign up with Volo NYC, your league registration helps provide free youth sports programs in New York through The Volo Kids Foundation.
All Volo NYC skeeball teams are required to have a minimum of 5 players. If you and your crew don’t have a full roster, we’ll merge you with another small group. FYI – merged teams generally have extra players to protect against forfeits. If you’d like to make sure you have a larger or smaller team, you can register as a prepaid team which allows you determine the amount of players on your team.

At Volo NYC leagues you can expect a premier, FUN experience! Plan to arrive at the bar 10-15 minutes before game time to meet up with your teammates and get ready to play in your Volo NYC Skeeball league. Leagues either are traditional or match play. If participating in a traditional skeeball league, a match will consist of two teams rolling 12 regular frames and one “mystery round”(worth 100 bonus points). Each frame is one full game with 9 rolled balls. If participating in a match play skeeball league a match will consist of two teams playing a best of Seven (7) or Nine (9) series, depending on the league size and number of machines (first team to win 4 or 5 games wins the match). Teams will roll at the same time. The “series number” will be spelled out for each league and season. Once your game ends, the night is just beginning.
