Volo San Jose FAQ
Your Questions, Answered
We run leagues across the South Bay in kickball, soccer, volleyball (sand and indoor), softball, basketball, pickleball, flag football, dodgeball, and cornhole. Tournaments, drop-in nights, and one-day events run year-round.
Our leagues run across Downtown San Jose, Santana Row, Willow Glen, and into Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and Santa Clara. Specific venues are confirmed when you register.
Sign up solo, with a friend, or as a full team. A lot of our SJ players sign up individually and get placed on teams with other free agents. It's one of the easiest ways to meet people outside of work.
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons people sign up. The South Bay is full of transplants who came for a job and are looking to build a real life around it. Volo gives you a built-in weekly hangout, post-game meetups at neighborhood spots, and season-long social events.
Most San Jose leagues run between $95 and $155 per player depending on sport, format, and season length. Drop-in pickleball and cornhole nights start lower. One upfront cost, no recurring fees.
A standard season runs 6 to 8 weeks, including a playoff or tournament at the end. Games are 45 minutes to one hour, mostly weekday evenings with some weekend leagues.
Not at all. Our leagues are recreational and built for adults who want to have fun, not relive their varsity years. Beginners are genuinely welcome. When you sign up, flag your skill level so we place you in the right division.
Yes. South Bay weather makes year-round outdoor play the standard, so seasons run continuously across most sports. Indoor options are available for volleyball, basketball, and pickleball when you want them.
A ton. Engineers, PMs, designers, recruiters, founders. The South Bay crew is heavy on tech, but the league is the place people leave their job titles at the door. That's kind of the whole point.
Some, but most South Bay players prefer to stay south of the city for a quicker commute home. If you're looking for something specific or want to play in both markets, reach out to our team.
The Volo Kids Foundation is at the heart of everything Volo does. A portion of every registration goes toward funding free youth sports programs for kids in San Jose. When you play with Volo, you help kids play free.
