We run leagues across San Francisco in kickball, soccer, volleyball (sand and indoor), softball, basketball, pickleball, flag football, dodgeball, and cornhole. Tournaments, drop-in nights, and one-day events run year-round.
Our leagues run across the city, including the Mission, SoMa, the Marina, Hayes Valley, and the Embarcadero, with select programming across the Bay in Oakland. Specific venues are confirmed when you register.
Sign up solo, with a friend, or as a full team. A huge chunk of our SF players sign up individually and get placed on teams with other free agents. It's one of the most popular ways to meet people in the city.
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons people sign up. SF is a city of transplants and remote workers, which can make real friendship harder to build than it should be. Volo gives you a built-in weekly hangout, post-game meetups at neighborhood bars, and season-long social events that go beyond your work crew.
Most SF leagues run between $100 and $165 per player depending on sport, format, and season length. Drop-in pickleball and cornhole nights start lower. One upfront cost, no recurring fees.
A standard season runs 6 to 8 weeks, including a playoff or tournament at the end. Games are 45 minutes to one hour, mostly weekday evenings with some weekend leagues.
Not at all. Our leagues are recreational and built for adults who want to have fun, not relive their varsity years. Beginners are genuinely welcome. When you sign up, flag your skill level so we place you in the right division.
We schedule around it. Karl the Fog is a regular. Most leagues use venues that work in foggy, cool conditions, and we have indoor options for volleyball, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and pickleball year-round. SF weather isn't a season-killer here.
Yes. We pick venues with SF reality in mind, so most are within a short walk of BART or a Muni line. Specific transit details are on each league page when you register.
Yes. We have programming in Oakland and select East Bay venues for players who want to skip the bridge commute. Reach out to our SF team if you're looking for something specific in your neighborhood.
